Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

BookBee ("we", "us") provides an online booking system that lets service businesses ("masters") manage appointments, and lets their clients book those appointments. This policy explains what information we collect through bookbeestudio.com and how we use it.

Information we collect

If you create a master account to manage a business on BookBee, we collect: your email address; a hashed password (or your Google account identity, if you sign in with Google); your business name and booking handle; the services, prices, and working hours you set up; provider names you add; and, if you choose to fill them in, your business address and phone number.

If you book an appointment with a master through their BookBee page, we collect the name, email address, and phone number you provide, along with the service and time you book. This information is shared with the master you're booking with so they can provide the service.

If you connect Google Calendar to your master account, we store the access token Google gives us and use it only to create, update, or delete calendar events that correspond to your own bookings. We do not read, store, or otherwise access the rest of your Google Calendar.

Cookies: we use a small number of session cookies to keep you signed in. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not use third-party analytics or ad-tracking cookies.

How we use this information

  • To operate the booking system: creating accounts, listing services, taking bookings, and sending confirmation, reminder, and reschedule emails.
  • To sync a master's bookings to their own Google Calendar, if they've connected it.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To keep the service secure (for example, detecting abuse of the booking or account systems).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run BookBee, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Vercel — hosts the application.
  • Supabase — hosts our database.
  • Resend — delivers transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, password resets, reschedule notices).
  • Google — only if a master connects Google Calendar, to create calendar events for their bookings.

We don't share personal information with anyone else, except where required by law.

How we protect your data

All traffic to bookbeestudio.com is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored in plain text — we hash them with scrypt, a one-way cryptographic function, so even we can't see your actual password.

Sign-in sessions use signed, httpOnly cookies that browser scripts can't read, so a script injected into a page can't steal your session. Our database runs on Supabase's managed PostgreSQL infrastructure with restricted network access.

If you connect Google Calendar, the OAuth token Google gives us is stored server-side in that database row and is only ever read by our backend when creating, updating, or deleting a calendar event for one of your bookings — it is never sent to a browser, never included in any API response we return to the client, and never shared with anyone other than Google's own Calendar API to perform that sync.

Access to production data is limited to the people operating BookBee. We don't have a formal breach-notification process yet beyond what's legally required, but if we ever become aware of unauthorized access to your data, we will notify affected users by email.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account and booking information for as long as the account is active, so masters can see their booking history and clients can manage upcoming appointments. We don't currently have a self-service "delete my account" button — if you'd like your account or booking data deleted, contact us at support@bookbeestudio.com and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

BookBee isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
